Pool Rules and Regulations

The residents of Central Square Villas own the pool through the Homeowners Association. It is considered a public pool according to Erie County and therefore we are subject to State, County and Town regulations and mandates. The pool rules & regulations are posted within the pool area and must be adhered to for the safety of everyone and for the protection of the Association. Violation of these rules can result in fines and possible suspension of pool access and use of your key fob.

Access to the pool area: One (1) key fob is issued to each unit which allows access to the clubhouse and pool area. All activity requiring the use of the key fob is electronically monitored. Key fobs should not be shard. Lost key fobs should be reported to the Property Management Company and arrangements will be made for a replacement. There is a $25 replacement fee for all lost key fobs.

The residents of Central Square Villas own the pool through the Homeowners Association. It is considered a public pool according to Erie County and therefore we are to follow the regulations and guidelines set forth by the County.  For your safety and for the protection of the Association, it is your responsibility to follow all rules and regulations.

HOURS OF OPERATION
The pool is open starting on or about Memorial Day thru Labor Day from 9:00am to 9:00pm or dusk (if earlier). Pool use is prohibited at any other time.

Pool Rules

  • The pool is open to the use of all Central Square Villas residents and up to 3 guests per unit. Due to the size of our community and the limited capacity in the pool and surrounding pool area, please be mindful of other owners that may want to use the pool.
  • No lifeguard on duty. All persons using pool do so at their own risk. For safety, it is recommended that you do not swim alone.
  • Proper swim attire is required.
  • Any child who is a non-swimmer must be wearing a flotation device before entering the fenced pool area.
  • No glass or alcoholic beverages are allowed in the pool area.
  • No food or drink is allowed in pool. All food/beverages must remain on pool deck.
  • No roughhousing, aggressive splashing or unnecessary noise allowed.
  • No smoking allowed.
  • No pets allowed in the pool area.
  • No refuse to be left in pool area. All refuse must be removed from the premises and disposed of at your own residence.
  • Additional rules are posted at the pool and are to be followed.


SAFETY RULES (required by the Erie County Health Department)

  • Never swim alone. Two or more adults, 18 years of age or older, must be present at the pool when the bathing facility is in use, with at least one adult on the pool deck.
  • Children less than 16 years of age must at all times be accompanied by an adult responsible for their safety and behavior while at the bathing facility.
  • Shallow Water-No Diving.
  • Pollution of swimming pool prohibited. Urinating, discharge of fecal matter, expectorating (spitting) or blowing the nose in this pool is strictly prohibited.
  • In case of emergency, a free telephone is located in the patio area of the clubhouse. The telephone is preset to dial 911. The location of the facility is 64 ½ Hanover Street.


Emergency Procedure

  • Contact help as soon as possible. A free emergency phone is located in the patio area of the clubhouse. The telephone is preset to dial 911. The location of the facility is 64 ½ Hanover Street.
  • In case of need, rescue breathing or CPR should be started immediately and should be continued until emergency personnel arrive or until medical resuscitations are applied. A pocket face mask is available and located poolside in the deck box.
  • Buoy rings and reaching pole are located poolside.
  • Spine board and head immobilizer are located across from the clubhouse bathrooms.
  • A first aid kit is located poolside in the deck box.
  • All injuries must be recorded on the accident log located
  • poolside in the deck box and reported to the Management Company.

Weather Conditions
The National Lightning Safety Institute recommends suspending swimming activities when lightning is within 6 to 8 miles and wait until 30 minutes after lightning has been observed before resuming water activities.
